Deeply saddened by his passing . Totally shocked to hear and one of my all time great guitarist and band in 80s period. RIP Ed may you play with all the greats tonight in heaven for gods amusement.. My first concert in 1984 in Birmingham Alabama! It was Van Halen and Eddie was so exciting to watch and hear! RIP to a true guitar virtuoso! . The world will miss Eddie Van Halen; especially us who grew up rocking to his music in his home state of California. RIP most talented guy, you’ll be missed . This one hit me hard because it was more than just Eddie’s music, it was like therapy that got me through some hard times. Eddie was a virtuoso with soul. It wasn’t just his technical proficiency, it was his innovation and feel. There will never be ano… . Rest easy Eddie loved your playing , absolutely the best that ever was or will be. The true reason why the Air Guitar was invented for the rest of us. This is a true loss world wide. What an experience to have his music growing up. RIP Eddie.. Loved him! I saw him for the first time in 1984! It was great!!. He set the bar for a generation. Long gone are the days when guitars and real talent covered the air waves. What a glorious time in Rock and roll history. Prayers to the family and Wolfe.. This is heartbreaking . Remember cruising in the 69 Chevelle back in the summer of 1982 listening to Van Halen’s You Really Got Me on the 8 track. Good times and more simpler times back then. Sound track of our lives for those who grew up in the 70s and 80s! RIP EVH!. RIP Eddie. You made our 80s. Peace be with you and your family.. RIP to an epic icon…. The greatest guitarist of all time. The soundtrack of my life.. Not a real legend, he just knew how to play the guitar. Jimmy Page, Angus Young, Joe Walsh to name a few were true legends.. One of the top ten guitarists of all time. Hes up there with Hendrix and the like.. We lost Neil Peart in 2020 too.
