The final proposition, which may seem redundant when it comes to the president’s position as commander-in-chief, is a written charter of the expeditionary missions of the United States Marine Corps. It takes from similar language in US Congressional acts, such as “To organize a better marines” of 1834, and “Establish and organize a Marines” five. 1798. In 1951, the United States House of Representatives ‘special service committee called the proposition “one of the United States Marines’ most important – traditional and – statutory functions.”
The Committee argued that the marines often engaged in natural operations were not naval, not to mention famous actions during the War of 1812, in Tripoli, Chapultepec, numerous missions. occupation and rebellion (such as those in Central America), World War I and Korean War. While these actions are to be exact neither in support of naval operations nor for amphibious warfare, their common nature is of an expeditionary nature, using means of Navy to intervene in time at overseas events for the benefit of the United States.
