My puppers use to beg for food. Oh it drove me nuts. I tried the “no touch no talk no eye contact” rule. The only time my puppers begs is when dad is home, because he knows dad will automatically give in. But when dad is not home, my puppers will not beg. This has been going on for almost 7 yrs.

Just because I don’t lock him away whilst we are eating doesn’t lead him to obesity. I hate to see fat over fed dogs. However some have got a health problem. Love our dog more than most humans. Bore off and go preach to someone else.
he will try to stare your food from your fork. All I say is ” stop begging ” and he gets up and leaves. I don’t ever give in to his begging, unfortunately others in the family are not that consequent. He is not allowed in the part of the kitchen where food is prepared and cooked and knows to keep away from the table, but he is allowed in the dining room to be in our presence. As long as he does not start begging.
On my female dog if she starts to beg I just tell her no but I don’t say it real harsh and then I tell her to go lay down and she goes behind my chair until I get done eating. that’s exactly my thoughts too. Many merickahn doggoe owners think its love , however on the contrary, they’re slow-killing their family pets with human foods . I guess it’s not considered cruel to slow-kill yer own family fur-baby.
