- I would be also be upset if I found out that atheists pounced on the rights of Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Jains, and Sikhs. I have friends and colleagues of every religion and at least one agnostic and one atheist . I am not threatened by others’ beliefs and religions or lack of belief and lack of religion .
My colleagues have all learned to be sensitive and respectful of each other’s beliefs and culture. Educated, cultured people respect others’ beliefs / religions or lack of belief/ religion. I used to give my atheist colleague a Festivus Card every year.
My twin sister’s brother in law has a Doctorate and is a Professor of Biology at the University of Alabama. He is also an atheist . He wouldn’t think of criticizing anyone of any faith . His father in law’s brother is a Jesuit priest and one sister in law was a Discalced Carmelite ( she died 3 years ago)
