Person was probably flying too close which is wrong. But still accidents and mishaps like this happen all the time in nature, regardless of a drone or people being present or not. Who aproach a drone (that obviously caused the problem in the first place) when the cub almost reach his mother, causing the poor thing to fall all that distance? That is ridiculous
- Bears may be animals, but remember they are mammals… They not only get afraid, they ARE capable of controling that fear instinctively… This is BRAVERY. And BRAVERY comes after FRIGHT. If he did not have reacted with instinct, he may not have saved himself…Hence he made it back to Mother. BEARS ARE MAMMALS, just like you. To think baby Bears are NOT brave is to contradict your own species.
- This is so wrong on so many levels. I am angry that they continued to film while the cub was in obvious danger. Especially knowing that the craft is what scared it in the first place , The drone represents the obstacle in the cub’s life. Mama bear shows the cub how to keep going, but the cub keeps failing. Mama bear never leaves the cub. She stays and watches her cub struggles so hard to success, and the cub made it!
- These Sassy videos always have me holding my breath. I noticed Mom didn’t swipe the 2nd time. Congratulations little bear. We should all have such determination!! I would never share this. Whoever was flying the drone should be ashamed of themselves. Leave the bears alone. We don’t need to be using them as “examples of perseverance.” That poor cub and mama bear wouldn’t have even had to deal with this struggle if someone wasn’t chasing them with a drone.

Such a happy ending…why am I sitting here with tears literally streaming down my face while I’m watching mama bear pacing back and forth waiting anxiously for her baby???? Poor little cub must’ve been so scared. Thank GOD he made it back up to get to his mama!
