In the beginning, to see how scared he was broke my heart but started to smile when I saw him come out of his shell. All he needed was that one person to show him the love he so longed. I’m so happy he is in such a caring and loving forever home! Thank god for animal shelters and humane societies that save and change these dog’s lives forever!
- Tobi has such beautiful markings. I know Tobi is most definitely a mix breed, but I can’t tell what two breeds Tobi is. Tobi now, looks so happy. It’s so nice to see all the effort y’all put into bringing pups back to a normal life. I’ll be looking for a chance to become a foster for animals because of videos like this one
- Thanks to all the wonderful people at this shelter & all the other shelters & rescue groups dog’s like this one get to feel what is like to be truly loved by a person who loves any animals. I have a rescue. I got him at about 3 months but so much damage had already been done. He is 11 years old now and lives for bedtime snuggles. He has come a long way. He has been worth every second.
- I adopted a 6 yr old puppy mill moma that had been crated her entire life. She has not opened up to play yet but is bonding with me. I hope some day she can learn to play. Do you think there is any hope! I rescued my Kobe 4 years ago. He had been through hell and back. He finally opened up – be kind and patient – and she will finally feel safe. So worth it – the most loving and loyal dog I could ever ask for. Good luck and much love.
There is definitely hope. My rescue was the like the pup in this video. It took at least a month for her to start to really trust me. Potty training took about 3 months because she was so afraid of being outside. Then I would say it was 5-6 months for mine to stop having the occasional accident inside.
We are now 15 months since her adoption day and she has come so far. She does well when I take her out, but she does still have some fear. She trusts me enough now that she won’t shut down to the point I have to carry her. With these types of pups just know that some hurdles will take longer for them to cross than others. I’m starting to look for a canine companion for her since my cat passed away last month. I’m hoping it will help her confidence outside home so we can explore new places with less fear.
