Started reading your “For the Love Of Europe” book when it came on Tuesday. It’s a great distraction during these times! Thanks for sharing all your stories. Can’t wait to go back to Europe and use one of your guide books again.

  • I say a prayer of thanks every day that i got to visit Italy with my kids in Nov ‘19. It was a trip we put off for many years because of the expense, and then finally just did it. With Rick as our guide, we made the most of Rome and Florence.
  • I’ve been to Florence many times, of course not as many as Steve. It’s always exciting and invigorating. Seeing the iconic works of our culture never grows old. If I could live anywhere, besides with my family, it would be Florence.
  • I am so grateful for your programs. I may never get to all the places you’ve shown us, but I am a more enriched person because of all you’ve shown me over the years , Last year, I was in Florence for the May Day celebration. I ran into several members of your tour group, but sadly none at this celebration.

we stayed at a beautiful place near the Palazzo Vecchio and we lucky enough to be there when invited orchestras from all over the world were playing. magical place i hope to return to someday!

Brings back so many wonderful memories of our European trip many years ago. We were on a 12 day bus trip and saw 8 countries – whew . We were blessed to be dropped off in the old part of Florence. So beautiful with all the red roofs and small narrow cobblestone streets. Awesome memories. We were so blessed . Stay safe and happy ” virtual ” travels.

I loved visiting Florence… we had planned a trip right before 9/11 and had to cut back on the travel. So glad that we decided to not skip Florence.. seeing the statue of David in person is truly breathtaking,

Love Florence. Feel like I am transported back in time as the city looks as it did 500 years ago.
Blows my mind that between the fall of Rome in 476 and the Renaissance there is a period of 1,000 years. 10 centuries of darkness. So hard to grasp.
