The sector of Rocky’s research is the applying of elementary-particle physics to the very early Universe. Edward W. Kolb (recognized to most as Rocky) is the Arthur Holly Compton Distinguished Service Professor of Astronomy & Astrophysics and the Dean of the Bodily Sciences on the College of Chicago, as well as a member of the Enrico Fermi Institute and the Kavli Institute for Cosmological Physics.
