During a traveling, Toothless takes Hiccup and her friend Astrid (America Ferrera) to the dragon’s nest and discovers the giant Red Death dragon. He is the one behind all the attacks when making smaller dragons pay tribute every day if they don’t want to be eaten. This is also when they realized that dragons are harmless when they only eat fish.
When Stoick and the Vikings attacked the dragon’s nest, they could not fight the power of the Red Death. Luckily, Hiccup and the little dragon knights showed up in time to defeat the monster. Despite losing a leg, he has received the respect of the people as well as making the inhabitants of Berk and dragons into close friends.
