Why “Friends” and not another series?
It can’t be called a review article, something like “decoding the film’s success …” or more analysis. For me Friends is a special series, a happy vitamin. Also want to learn carefully about it, then search google for millions of reviews.
I started watching Friends more than a year ago, the original purpose was to learn English, but watching all these 236 episodes was quite a bit of experience and impression that exceeded expectations.
Honestly, Friends was no longer a movie title to me, but became a pronoun that evoked many layers of meaning. Friends tells about a group of friends with troubled relationships: friendship, love, husband and wife, parents and children, colleagues, … Friends are the representative of American culture in the New York scene in the 90s with Coffee party, baseball, bars, Thanksgiving, … Friends are a monument in building situations, expensive lines, deep humorous jokes. In particular, removing the story button in Friends makes viewers feel extremely warm.
