The high-ranking Greek monks of that time used the magic to open the temple doors and light the torches without the need for tools.
In Africa, witches are often ugly, single, old women. They often operate in secret at night and are also unaware of their actions. They were seen as a threat to the community because it was thought that disasters such as illness, famine, crop failure, and natural disasters were caused by witches at the request of the enemy. In Gana, a village was built to keep witch workers in isolation to avoid disasters. In South America, the Indian tribes often have witches for healing. They held a dance around the fire and used magic to remove the infected parts from the mouth of the sick.
