At the age of 21, after finishing college in his hometown Thai Binh, Huyen went to Hanoi to find a job. The young girl has many precarious jobs, low income still tries to stay in the capital. At that time, he liked Korean language, Huyen worked while taking advantage of private lessons.
In 2014, when she was 23 years old, she entered a singing contest organized by the Korean Cultural Center, aiming to win an award to spend a year studying abroad in Korea. The contest did not offer an opportunity to study abroad, but did let her get to know her husband, Kim Su Hyun (30 years old), who was a director of a music production company in Korea.
But that day, Huyen only knew that Su Huyn worked in the music field. This guy has been to Vietnam to learn Vietnamese for several months, so he has many friends over here. He also appeared several times on television shows as a foreign guy who likes to learn Vietnamese culture. When they get to know, they often share with each other about the music and culture of the two countries.
One day in early 2015, a Korean man had a business trip to Vietnam. There are many friends that need to meet in the short term, so he plans to spend about an hour meeting Huyen. “As fate, I still remember that day it was drizzling. You left a deep impression on me. Time seemed to pass very quickly”, Su Hyun once wrote on Facebook 3 years after the first day of meeting. That day they talked for twice as long as he intended.
