In the picture are all grown cows but they look no different from children playing with “adult” Knickers. Knickers’ owner, an Australian farmer named Geoff Pearson, shared that he sees it as the “trainer” of the herd – the animal has the qualities to be responsible for its community. Geoff humorously shared “nothing but cows, no species that big”.
However, from a scientific perspective, we need to see this story a little bit differently.
Knickers beef is 1.93m high and weighs 1.4 tons.
“We need to approach this story from a different angle,” said Aniek Bouwman, an expert in breeding and genetic modification at the University of Wagenigen (Netherlands).
First, it is important to understand, says Bouwman, that Knickers is a bull, and bulls are usually bigger. However, the real reason lies in its breed – the Holstein cow – which is a giant breed.
