The ancestors of the Boxer breed are the two breeds of the German clam group Bullenbeiszer and Barenbeiszer. After that they were bred again with bulldogs. In the past, the breed has won many awards such as bison and sled dog. Separated further from their roots, Boxer’s ancestors became members of the ancient fortresses, and used in herding work.
They are also quite popular in street circus and traveling troupes because of their ability to learn the items quickly. Breeding took place relatively indiscriminately until 1904, when the standard of this breed was set.
