Our kids were taught how to take a test on a computer with a mouse and then given the test on an iPad. They all basically failed bc they didn’t touch the choices hard enough so it recorded as a non answer. Did you see the image choice that was supposed to be cinnamon? No intelligent adult would know that image was of cinnamon. ‘m struggling with my kids and istation. Deaf and HH kids taking a reading test that’s all auditory with a stupid bird that sounds British. It’s laughable it’s so absurd.
All the more reason to homeschool the kids! If more people would do that, it might wake up the “leaders” to the insane amount of problems with NC’s public schools. Tammy Smith Karn I was under that impression, too, that homeschooling was only for the rich; however, after extensive research recently, I have discovered that a ton of popular companies offer realistic remote positions and health benefits. (Procter and Gamble, GE, Verizon, and many others). I work from home and homeschool my daughter because my county public school system cannot be trusted to keep my daughter safe from bullying teachers and repeated refusal to set up a much needed IEP two years in a row.
