Patricia Hammons “Canada has the same problems, if not worse”. LOL Canada has had 9067 deaths so far from Covid. They had ONE death yesterday. They are averaging 13 cases per million people, and the US is averaging 204 cases. No, Canada is not doing worse than we are. We are the fourth worst in the world. Most third world nations are doing better than us. well of course all of that would need to be managed. In my utopia, the government would not be able to touch it. It would be managed by health care experts. At any rate, won’t happen in my lifetime so why discuss it? clearly you dont understand our system in Canada. Yes health care is covered and any emergency surgery is taken care of right away…if you want specialty surgeries like hip replacement it could take slightly longer depending where you are. Otherwise the wait times are not bad at all. only the working class pays for premiums. Who’s going to pay for those that can work but refuse? No thank you. I work way too hard for my money. A general fund is available it’s called Medicaid. Paid by yours truly the working class. wait time is for elective surgery only this is non life threatening they use level of severity to determine who goes first, you’re bunion removals would have to wait for someone heart surgery. But you’re confused with the “message” it’s called universal healthcare for a reason. It cost 200-300 dollars in traveller insurance for the year to go use an American hospital if someone recommended the doctor to you. They don’t pay the bloated administration fees. If you go into the hospital with a heart attack or car accident you will see the doctor before the kid with the sniffles.
