I think that the “autofocus” of the camera is being detected by the birds. I had a great opportunity to take pictures of a hawk, it didn’t seem to care that I was watching but as soon as I turned my camera on and pointed in its direction it flew away. The only thing that could have disturbed it was the autofocus system from the camera trying to “measure”.
I live about 25 mins drive from this place! And have been several times since I was a child. Most recent was my 31st birthday! Have to admit it’s bird displays are 2nd to none in the uk! They have a great selection of birds and there care for the birds as absolutely amazing! If anyone is ever visiting Hampshire and wants a fun day out I can’t recommend them enough!
