God is in your marriage be rest assured all is gonna work and you are my best friend so I have to love and cherish you more. We are gonna have more adventures together, pray together, travel together have wonderful kids together am 100% sure we are gonna work and getting married will be the best decision we ever made in our life. I love you so so so much my moonshine. I have been married for 18 years and while yes there have been hard moments – it has not been hard. We don’t have to “work” at this because we both consider ourselves to be lucky the other has our back.
But a college professor always told us that when the courtship ends, the court begins. And I suspect there is a ton of truth in this. After 67 yrs of marriage , I can honestly say we are still in love and Thank God Every morning for one another ! Let Jesus live in your hearts and He will carry you when times get hard and sickness comes in . My heart still skips a beat when he comes home ! Faithfulness is the answer for us ! I have been one of those people. I’ve told many a friends that were getting married a lot of these things. But with age, life, and God I realize I was in the wrong. Marriage is a wonderful blessing as long as the both of you work at it. We have been married 51 years, most years have been very happy. Compromise and open conversations have helped us through the years. You may not always agree but being able to accept each other’s opinions whether you agree with or not and move forward. The good times and memories help to keep moving on. Remember why you said I do to each other and be respectful to each other. No one is ever right all the time.
