To throw around a word like “communist” with clearly no understanding of what that is, nor of how being progressive is not being either communist or socialist, is to display your own ignorance., “state politics” are American politics. “Big government” offers Social Security, clean food, air and water (as soon as we undo Trump’s travesties), highways, national defense, police, sanitation, education, and disease management. I’ll take that kind of freedom.
- It’s great that people will no longer be arrested for marijuana. But I’m getting over using it and feeling better without it. You are so awesome Rick! I was a canvasser in Montana this past summer and we worked our tails off to get it on the ballot -YES-all our hard work paid off! It passed!
- Forgive me, but wasn’t Rick Steves the travel guru? Now, the emphasis seems to be on politics and marijuana. A great change to be sure. I have nothing against marijuana at all. Too bad the travel part has been diminished.

Who said you “have to” do anything? It’s just odd that you keep showing up here, month after month, to try to force him to stop talking about politics, when… you’re well aware he won’t be doing that. You’re free to do that if you want to, but… why? Why would you? I wouldn’t show up at Taco Bell night after night and whine about how they don’t serve Italian food.
