This sounds good but does the dog stay in that one place all day while you are at work. Do they get so fixated on that spot that they don’t move from there? This dude knows his stuff!! Anything I learn from Cesar and implement, it actually works. My boy struggled with separation but these tips have worked and now he’s much calmer and hardly follows me.
- Thank you for your insight Cesar. We have a new puppy Havapoo coming home in October. I’m learning all that I can to avoid creating bad habits. It’s train human time before puppy arrives!! Now we understand WHY dogs have separation anxiety, but this didn’t show HOW to teach them to stay on their spot and not be anxious.
- I have a question for you Cesar I am 67 years old I live alone I would like a small dog I would love a puppy but I don’t know if I have the energy for a puppy I’m definitely not gonna pay for a dog I would go to get a dog from the shelter what should I look for I need a calm dog I’m still able to walk take the dog for walks
- My boyfriend has a dog when he’s sitting or lying with me he growles and wants to attack anyone that gets close every night the barking the growling and sometimes the attack where he’s made my boyfriend bleed good size bites. Help!!!
I once rescued a bully breed that had such bad separation anxiety that he would block the door, lunge at me, bark & even drag me by my sleeve. It got so bad that as soon as I picked up my keys & purse he would start his antics. Eventually, he started to pick up on any activity that indicated to him that we where about to leave. The trainer I was working with suggested I muzzle. Unfortunately, I had to return him to the shelter. I still feel guilty after a year
I’m so happy to see Ceaser again! I’m such a fan of his tv shows, and can’t explain how my biggest fear, a dog, has turned my life into loving them and understanding them because of Ceaser! Now that our Lab has passed my Dachshund has anxiety…. I will implement this through his day, and hopefully it will ease his anxiety better.
