Normally for all creatures, the reproduction process is inherently slow and hard. The thing is, with the monster class like the Alien, the reproduction is very fast and creepy. As mentioned above, when a suitable host is found, the Oromorph egg will split on its own, and the contents will jump into the host’s face (hence the name Facehugger). And once it is captured, only you can identify it.
This creature was born with only one purpose: Transplant an embryo into the host through the mouth. Instead of suffocating the victim, it will provide oxygen to the host itself until the embryo transfer is complete. And if he tried to pry him (he didn’t have enough strength) out of his face, he would strangle the host with his tail, or worse, spit his blood of concentrated acid on his host.
After the Photobucket implants the embryo, it will separate itself from the host. The transplanted person now feels fine, but the embryo will grow very quickly in their chest; until it is large enough to break the chest of the victim’s chest (Chestburster).
This is probably one of the most classic scenes of the Alien series in particular and in the history of cinema in general. This scene not only shocked the first-time viewers of this movie, it was also a moment of introduction of the Alien species to the mass audience.
