Because of its small size, the Chihuahua has a lot of health problems. Because of the short nose, the Chihuahua can wheeze and may even snore when sleeping. Their oversized eyes lead to a greater likelihood of secondary tearing keratitis or cataracts. Easy to suffocate by neck chain, susceptible to gum disease, rheumatism, unable to withstand cold, easy to stress. Do not allow them to lick or eat toxic products, feces or chocolate.
Should eat in moderation to avoid obesity. Chihuahua puppies have large heads, so they need to be operated by experienced veterinarians. In babies, they are prone to fractures or other accidents. Some strains of the occipital chihuahua do not fully develop, so the skull remains flawless throughout its life. This can make them more vulnerable.
