Director M. Night Shyamalan has brought in The Last Airbender a lot of mysterious colors. The audience will notice that the film uses many different martial arts of Asians. From traditional Korean Taekwondo to Tai Chi exercises, Hong Kong is featured in Chinese wushu and dotted with Judo martial arts originating from Japan. The barrage of dance is also the highlight of The Last Airbender. Director M. Night Shyamalan relied on the special team of Steven Cremin – who once collaborated with him in the Sixth Sense – to effect the action scenes with four elements: water, fire, earth. and gas. Due to being Indian, M. Night Shyamalan also put a little Hindu flavor into the film. The Last Airbender is a mix of many different cultures of Eastern countries.
Playing Thien Vuong Aang is the young actor Noah Ringer. Never appeared before the camera before, but 10 years of Taekwondo training and appearance suitable for the character created the opportunity for the 12-year-old boy to appear in this blockbuster. However, due to having never acted in a movie, Noah’s acting is not convincing enough and has not left an impression on the viewers. In The Last Airbender, Dev transformed into the villain Zuko – the prince of the Fire Nation is exiled and tries to capture the Heavenly King. The audience also met actor Jackson Rathbone – vampire Jasper Hale of the hit Twilight series. In this movie, Jackson has more ground to play as Sokka – the elder brother of the master Katara.
