Steve I understand what you’re saying ,I lost my mom ,my brother ,my mom three years ago and seem like yesterday,my brother in 2019,boy it’s not easy ,but it’s hard but God, after four years lm beginning to pick !myself up and take care of myself,I been in a slum,and I am praying God help me along the way,like you said you or to expect something that’s when faith comes in,faith I can’t see it but I’m hoping.. undefined. Amen. Thank you. Today I decided to just come forward & admit what’s happening. I came home from LA early November for a family emergency. Within a week I was having an extreme migraine for 5 days. I got up from bed & fell into my desser so I went to the hospital to finally relieve the headache. It ended up being an AVM in my central Pons. I’m having many neuro deficits. I’ve had arterial veno lymphatic malformation tumor disorder for about 3yrs. I decided to not have chemo to retard it, there is no cure. So I chose to live for once. If you know me..you know I have a vast medical history 27 surgeries in 26yrs & ALL the pain killers that go along with that…add trauma, emotional issues treated with more meds= a big frickin mess of a life. Four years ago I decide to strip it all away & start over. I went to school for medical administration, including the into to nursing & body systems. Then I took addiction counseling to learn the bio-chemistry of the brain & receptors…I’d been in counseling for decades but a good friend, mentor & counselor finally taught me radical acceptance. I titrated myself off everything except blood pressure meds & trileptal for my brain. There was a need for serotonin control.
So I’m off everything, decide to plan on getting off disability. I began working pt then full time. Then I take a real corp job and move to LA…HAPPY & having fun!!!
Now, a month later, 4yrs clean, this. I’m struck by the irony! Lol
Honestly, I always knew this could grow in my heart, lungs or brain & I could be in trouble… So here I am, but it truly is ok.
I believe the opportunity to be at home & deal with it. Have brain surgery surrounded by my family & friends who love me? That was God who brought me home..I’d be in LA alone, unable to work, fly or drive home. So I’m extremely greatful. He brought me here, he’ll bring me through.
Life will be amazing again…I’m just on pause. I’m a fighter & survivor. I’ll admit, this is different & scary..I Just have to believe it will be ok.
Lord help to remember that the key of our Lives is prayers. Thank you for reminding us how important it is in our darling lives. . Thank you Steve for such great words of inspiration, this should be played everyday all day. Bless You. Amen, we all touch and spiritually believe because faith and praying are everything we need.
