The media is mostly liberal-leaning and social media has shown a proclivity to advertise particular positions that they support. So in a sense, Trump is facing an uphill battle in this regard. That being said I know among many blue-collar voters there has been a strong desire to re-open. Unity over division biden and harris yard signs. The economy was booming under Trump for the last 3 years and many want to get back to how things were going before. Blue-collar voters tend to decide elections. Had it not been for COVID I would be placing my money on Trump winning. Presidents that preside over strong economies tend to get reelected. COVID has really thrown a wrench into the works though and it has made everything unpredictable. I think this issue favors Biden in the long run as his hands are clean of the whole mess.
