This story absolutely went from 0 to 100! What a queen, a true hero! Those mama instincts kicked in regardless of if it was her kid or not! . What an amazing story! Your Mom was one brave woman! Im sorry for your loss.. I live in FNQ of Australia and l remember when this happened and she is one very brave lady. l have seen these monsters both in the wild (not as close as your mum) and in captivity and to have the guts and courage too do what she did makes one exceptio… . I remember this happening here in Oz. Your mum was a a legend. May she Rest In Peace.. I remember that when it was on all the news programs. I remembered it well because I’d spent some time in FNQ and saw so many huge crocs. Her instincts were good. Amazing woman and a lot to be proud of.
I remember this happening! We are always telling our kids not to camp near the water or wander near the edge because of crocs. We have told them your story. Im so sorry to hear your mum has passed. She was a very brave woman.. I grew up in QLD and I remember this story! Croc victim saved by a legendary granny! What an awesome lady. Sorry to hear she passed away. . When fight or flight kicks in that when you see who’s made of what.. Is it at all possible to not read this story in your head with an Aussie accent?! What a brave woman. So sorry for your loss She was beautiful and so kind.. Dad wasn’t shocked. He knew how mom got when she set her mind to things.. Can you imagine being so brave as to wrestle a crocodile at 60!?? My husband met your mum a few years ago camping near where this happened – what an amazing woman!. I still remember when this happened, was all over the news in Australia and an even bigger deal in North Queensland. I’m so sorry to hear that she’s passed, an incredibly strong-willed woman and one I admired.. Scrolling past this quickly my brain read only the bolded words and thought it was a some sort of warning. Like, “1 DAY LEFT HUMANS! PREPARE YOURSELVES!” And honestly, it didn’t even phase me. 2020 has prepared me to believe just about anything. . I remember Croc Granny! That incident is the reason why I do -not- camp. Sad to hear she has passed.. Your mom is a Rock Star Angel! I love she said you would have been on your own had it been a spider! A Moms instinct to protect those dear to her. Wow. What a great story to have thru the generations. ((HUGS))
