What you and others who pigeonhole him as a ‘bad boy’ don’t know is that he’s well read. Extremely intelligent, very driven, very affectionate, actually pretty subdued. Cooked for one of the best chefs in the US at the time. If I’d led with those features, he may have fit into your ‘average guy’ stereotype.
