When I lived in Alaska, I adopted my first dog (he passed away 2 weeks ago), one of the first things that solidified our crazy close relationship was watching the northern lights. He was just amazed and kept looking at me then the sky then me. It was like “Is this real life?” I wish I had an awesome picture of it like this one!

Great that the dog will survive. I am a hunter and support all hunting activities, however, I do not understand how either (1) some wannabe hunter could possibly mistake a dog for a deer (2) how the shooter can rationalize how they shot at a target they obviously did not first properly identify;or
how their overzealous irrational need to get a deer led them to shoot a dog that was possibly in the woods chasing wildlife. Three possibilities ALL should lead to hunter being charged with animal cruelty charges and losing their right to own hunting weapons and their right to hunt again!!
