Mae was beaten by her mother and sexually abused by her father as she grew up at the home where nine skeletons were found buried in the cellar and garden in 1994.
She was the second of the couple’s eight children. Her older sister Heather, 16, and step-sister Charmaine, eight, were among the murder victims.
Fred, 53, killed himself in jail in January 1995 before he could stand trial on 12 murders. Rose was convicted of 10 killings later that year.
Mae kept in touch with her mother for 10 years after she was jailed but cut ties after Rose refused to reveal the truth about her crimes.
Nowadays she says she lives a “different life” where she hides her horrific past from friends, colleagues and family under a new name. Mae said: “You get on with your life and it just comes up again.
“It’s brilliant if they can put it all to rest for Mary’s family, but it just brings it all up again.

“It’s torture, especially when you are getting on with your life. I’ve got a job and a husband and children but things like this bring it all back. People I work with don’t even know. It’s like a completely different life and when it comes up I struggle with it.
“I normally avoid stories but this time around, I don’t know why, I have seen it. It’s upsetting the family, my sisters are upset about it, but it feels much more intense than the usual things that come out.
“Because it’s a search for a body it seems so much bigger than before. I thought the next thing would be mum’s death.”
