I have the opposite problem. My boy does not bark. Very very seldom do I hear him and it’s always if the horses are going by. He doesn’t bark at the door, at deliveries, at anything. I wish he would bark just a little bit more.

Had a neighbor who said you can’t stop a dog from barking so much.but never knew i had a dog because she never heard her bark told her she is trained to only bark when necessary.. I don’t understand these post. Its like asking a 3 yr old to hush all day. They hear things we don’t, they got things to say, yes sometimes they fight with the neighbor dogs about fence line just like we do lol. Some dogs are Karens. My dogs rarely bark but when they do its for a reason and I pay attention. I have 5 dogs in the house and no one can tell by just coming in. they dont bark at strangers I invite in, unless they knock first.

Thats cause they understands English not just commands. its really funny. My newest was around my ex who just saw her as a toy so its harder to control her but after a year with just me she’s understanding gestures, cues, words, and I understand her needs now (never had a husky before).
