Everyone wants to love their job, not always the case, I like to work because I like paychecks. Not everyone can have their job of choice but everyone can have a paycheck. 1800’s on no real paying jobs for women ‘ If the father died as a man child ,you went to work at 13 or 14 they had gloves and shoe factors in the east ; you went to work of did not eat. some did not have homes of yards to grow things on. Some people think looking after their children that you’re these days and working I think it’s character building myself and shows What You’re Made Of the past generations had to do it or they didn’t survive they were fantastic people Gil character My mom said that during the great depression people in her neighborhood took care of themselves with kitchen gardens and were able to help when homeless came through their towns with food that they grew. We immigrated to Canada from the Nederlands in 1954 and my dad always had a vegetable garden. My mom made meat ball soup every week and crepes. There are many things that causes us to be depress but always remember there are also many ways not to, we just have to think right, be grateful & content of what we have & look at the bright side of everything. My grandmother knew how to cook / crochet/ knit / sew/ lay tile floors / hang wallpaper & an abundance of other things ppl don’t do today she was a beautiful hard working women My grandma made wine during the depression and they hired people to thresh. They still had an economy. The people in town were stuck unless they had an in with a farmer. They also traded goods. This goes back to Mother Earth. Our Econ’s is based on the internet and the ephemeral. We are specialists not generalists like the people before us.
