Yes, but a “server” can be fired from their job if they are habitually rude. No such luck with people who come into a restaurant or retail store, Retail clerks and servers have to deal with downright mean and petty people sometimes. And sometimes THEY(the clerk or server) are having a bad day also. Try giving someone a break before you attempt to get them “fired” for being “rude”.

  • As a customer it drives me crazy when I hear people being so rude when they are being served. They often do not even look up from their phones to address someone when they give their orders. It is so rude and I love this sign. Being kind and polite costs nothing and makes a difference for so many.
  • In ‘2013 we did the Best of Spain. Before the tour, we took the elevator to the top column, took the winding stair back. My 75 yr old legs were rubber when reaching the bottom. BUT worth every step. Our 1st visit was in ’84. Great to watch the progress thru the years. Best memories was visiting during Christmas and seeing all the children’s faces.

It’s an amazing place! The way the stained glass panels are arranged is genius! When we were in Barcelona we could see the spires from our hotel! Of course we toured it! I look forward to the day we can travel again. Good memories…I proposed to my wife in one of those towers . We went back about 10 years later for another visit, but we neglected to buy tickets early enough in advance, so my advice to any prospective visitors is to get your tickets early!

My hope is that it will be a house of God… not just a tourist destination. Yet, even so, it makes tourists’ spirits soar to contemplate the divine. I lived just one block from Sagrada Familia in 1973-74. I saw its magnificent interior just a few years ago. I was awed. When I saw it in 1969 it was an incomplete shell, partial sides, no floor, just grass. Our guide told us they were trying to raise money to resume work and someday finish it.
