God made animals before he made man. God saved animals when the earth was flooded. God speaks of the doves from heaven, and also of Christ returning on a white horse as with others. Of course animals have souls. There are many verses that speak of animals including sea life, so yes turtles have souls.
- But ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you; or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you; and the fish of the sea will declare to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.

Paul Russell , you are the virus. You should be locked home and never leave your freaking house!! Both the turtle and this man are richer for the relationship they share. When you care for an animal that is disabled in some way it teaches you a kindness and compassion that you can’t experience any other way.
She could have inherited the turtle, got it when it was older or it could have been ill. But no, you just be harsh instead. I understand how great it is to have a little turtle or other living being to care for. I have had a turtle pet(friend) before too. I have two. Raised them for 15 years now from babies.
People don’t realize how smart they actually are! They love Christmas tree lights, and get excited when the doorbell rings. Lol. The vet told me that they’re very social.
