Exposure to household violence has been broadly defined as a child being present (hearing or seeing) whereas a dad or mum or sibling is subjected to bodily abuse, sexual abuse or psychological maltreatment, or is visually uncovered to the injury precipitated to individuals or property by a member of the family’s violent behaviour” (Higgins, 1998, p. 104). The vast majority of cases of child abuse delivered to Household Courts contain mothers, most likely because mothers are the recognised primary caregivers to kids. When encountering social workers with such character problems, dad and mom must exercise nice care.
