In 2017, there have been more than 90 million international migrants residing within the Region, amounting to virtually 10% of the entire inhabitants of the Region and 35% of the worldwide international migrants ( 1 ). There may be wide variation amongst Member States in both the proportion of worldwide migrants in the country (e.g. forty five% in Malta and less than 2% in Albania; Annex 1 ) and within the refugee and migration-associated health coverage priorities and methods.
