Ms. Bader Ginsburg later became a professor at Rutgers Law School in 1963 and co-founded the Women’s Rights Project at the American Civil Liberties Federation (ACLU). In 1973, Ms. Bader Ginsburg assumed the responsibility of head of legal department of ACLU.
In 1980, Ms. Bader Ginsburg was appointed to the District Court of the District of Columbia. In 1993, President Bill Clinton nominated Ms. Bader Ginsburg to the Supreme Court. From here, Ms. Bader Ginsburg officially became the second woman to be appointed to the US Supreme Court.
One of Bader Ginsburg’s first and foremost cases at the Supreme Court concerns the male-only policy at the Virginia Military Institute. Female judge Ginsburg asserted that there is no law or policy that denies women’s opportunities to participate and contribute to society based on their individual capacities.
The image of Ginsburg became popular with the public when a law school student created her own Tumblr social network account, Notorious RBG. From here, Mrs. Ginsburg became a phenomenon with the generation of young women. Even the fashion style of the female judge Ginsburg was recognized and learned by the public.
