A pair of flamingos are using their beaks to feed a baby bird. This is also the place where the parents make a greeting of the eggs about to hatch. When the eggs hatch, the chicks are fed with a high-fat milk and protein produced in the intestines of the parents.
When the chicks are a bit older, the flamingos parents send them to other adults for care and feed, and then return to feed them at night. Despite being watched over by larger birds, young birds are still vulnerable to threats from other animals.
