Like the industrial revolution of the sixteenth century, the new information technology and technology revolution today threatens to make some familiar occupations lose their place in the future.
The following are 8 occupations that tend to be increasingly cut globally between now and 2012, according to calculations and analysis by the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the United States.
This is considered a job that will be massively cut in the near future. The effective support of modern machinery is saving workers more and more in this industry. In addition, production mechanism is more concentrated in developing countries, poor countries in Africa instead of individual and small production also reduces the number of people working in this industry. Not to mention, the rapid urbanization rate, especially in East Asia, also mechanically reduces the number of workers pursuing this profession in the future.
Just as in the industrial revolution of the 16th century with the advent of industrial sewing machines, garment workers were most directly and strongly influenced by today’s new technological revolution. Their work is at stake and obviously, machines will gradually compete for their place in factories in the future. That trend has been around for many years and will continue for many more years.
