Nick Saban’s success with Alabama has been unprecedented simply from the influx of change and moving parts that he has had to deal with during his run. I’ve always wondered what drives him now with him accomplishing so much. The things that I noticed when he either denied or shot down the report entirely is that his wife reportedly loves Tuscaloosa so much that she does not want to leave for a city like New York. Also Saban seems totally at peace with his legacy and the perception people have of how he left the NFL. This tells me that family really is important to him and drives him to keep his current situation as consistent and stable as possible until he is feels it’s time to leave.
