I’ve been encouraging the younger people I know to volunteer to become poll workers. It’s a must! My husband has been a poll worker for 9 years. Usually only one day. This year it’s 4 days I enjoy being a poll worker and agree that we always need workers. Thank you for your leadership. Both of my 20 year old daughters are going to be poll workers in November! I appreciate his continued leadership, even when he is not officially our leader. It needs to become a national holiday so more people can sign up! I already submitted my availability to work as an election judge, 10 years and counting. Glad to help once again for this very important election. As far as Im aware, here in UK, local authority staff are seconded for polling station duty. Fun as volunteering can be, it is a pity that this method could not be adopted in your country just this once in the current circumstances. Local govt staff will be younger, less vulnerable and already familiar with covid -safe practices. I wish you all well at this crucial time for our world. I just applied. I was a poll worker in 2008; I will be happy to do it again.and wear a mask I worked the elections in Miami for many years. Long hours but worth it. I really pray that our young folks not only volunteer, but also push others to vote. We need them to be especially strong this term. Thanks for continuing to be an inspiration to all.
