Excuse me Jo, but how do these codes pertain to Ms. Sheehan?

Do you know that her conduct was intended to be disorderly or disruptive?

From what I understand, her shirt displayed a corrected number (presumably US soldiers killed in Iraq). Factual information only. Her attire was nicely coordinated black and white. Her demeanor was respectful. She did not have a banner, flag, or device designed or adapted to bring into public notice a party, organization, or movement. Nor did she vocalize her opinions.

So what was her offense, other than quietly providing an unpleasant mirror this administration would have to gaze into as they surveyed the gallery?

Wow, a post mentioning Cindy Sheehan really brings out an influx of trolls of the bottom-feeder variety, doesn’t it? How pathetic. There’s not a single contrarian post which has any substantive arguments – instead it’s all death-thrats, hate-speech and ridiculously immature attempts at ‘satire’ – including invocations to Sadaam Hussein.

(Incidentally, someone needs to update Godwin’s law, or at least write a corrorally, to add Saddam Hussein invocations to the list of thread-killers. For Wingnuts, Hussein is definitely the new Hitler).

To all the trolls who’ve posted in this thread – you make me ashamed to be the same species as you, let alone the same race. Take your pathetic attempts at hate-speech back to LGF or whatever hotbed of bigotry from whence you came, and leave talking about politics for those with more than two brain-cells to rub together.

Hello?

Just to let you know, if you clear the cookie out from your vote on MSNBC, then you can vote as many times as you want. Just like Diebold did in Ohio and Florida (and who knows where else?)…Hehehaha_oh_shit…They want the source code?

Remember, it’s a non-scientific poll, just like the monkey-boy’s administration and the TWO STOLEN ELECTIONS. Vote as many times as you want, and Diebold will make more (for the monkey boys)…

ps: Leave the trolls, as they just prove that we are not alone. Monkeys are almost as smart as humans, and the big difference is that they don’t have as many scruples…

I haven’t seen such emotion about a President since Nixon; and it is deserved. It’s not to soon to put this bastard on the spot with a new meme:

PARDON CINDY NOW!

If you need a history lesson, Wiki the Gerald Ford pardon of Nixon and Bush 1.0’s pardons of his cronies in the Iran-Contra scandal, including Elliott Abrams, whom Bush 2.0 brought back into his own administration:

Daddy Bush’s crony pardons

PARDON CINDY NOW!

Hear the Panic in Arizona Joe? Hear the weakness, the fear — all the trappings, but no guts to live life like an actual man. It’s all about the dogs and the shit for Arizona Joe. No honor, no sacrifice, no Everyman, no America. A mind like a concertina-wire chunk of desert, with some cinder blocks, some porn, and a coupla used-up old sheps. That’s Joe’s America. And Cindy Sheehan scares him to death. Little Coward. Better Run.

I think someone should ask George Clooney if he would wear Cindy’s t-shirt to the Oscar’s ceremony.

COMMENT #85 [Permalink]… Robert Lockwood Mills said on 2/1/2006 @ 2:10 am PT…

If Cindy Sheehan was an invited guest of a member of Congress, which seems clear, then to have arrested her for wearing an anti-war T-shirt is an outrage. If she were hanging a banner (how would she have gotten it through security to begin with?) that’s a different story, because there’s a specific rule against hanging banners; though even then, the remedy would be to take the banner away, not to arrest the person trying to hang it.

I’d be willing to bet the banner-hanging story was an after-the-fact excuse for an arrest that never should have happened. Somebody high up realized a bad mistake had been made and tried to save face.

This will backfire on the White House, mark my words. Cindy Sheehan isn’t your garden-variety hippie who uses gutter language and smells bad. She’s a grieving mother. This isn’t good for Bushie.

President dumbfuck begs to be impeached over and over again, yet we know if we impeached him right away they would OVERTURN the impeachment….

First deal with the neocons for fucks sake and oh, about that Iraq matter. Cindy Sheehan and Jack Murtha will see to the end of this war pretty quick.

So they were afraid what CIndy might do by wearing a tee-shirt. What would they have done if she’d stripped it off? Leave her alone?

Doug, we will see massive troop withdrawl for sure

Once Rove figures out the fear tactic doesn’t work,

They’ll use the troop withdrawl for election ’06

COMMENT #91 [Permalink]… Craven said on 2/1/2006 @ 4:14 am PT…

I find it ironic that Cindy would be arrested when the whole address began with honoring Coretta Scott King.

Sheehan is doing the same thing the Kings were doing in the 60’s.

40 years later the Kings are heros for their civil rights movements but today Sheehan is a criminal for her movement.

COMMENT #92 [Permalink]… Robert Lockwood Mills said on 2/1/2006 @ 4:29 am PT…

Cindy Sheehan was quickly released. That proves there was never a valid reason to apprehend her, and the “she was trying to hang a banner” business was another Bush administration obfuscation.

Someone wanted to protect Bushie’s claim to center stage, as if the SOTU address were another one of those dog-and-pony-show speeches on an aircraft carrier or at the Naval Academy. But it was still a mistake they’ll regret, because Cindy will win a lot more friends on the “Today” show, even with a twit like Katie Couric interviewing her, than she’ll lose by having worn a T-shirt to a Bush speech.

COMMENT #93 [Permalink]… Vicky Perry said on 2/1/2006 @ 5:09 am PT…

I want to congratulate the Congresswoman on her courage in giving support to Cindy Sheehan. The removal of Cindy from the SOTU address is a disgrace.

COMMENT #94 [Permalink]… Bvac said on 2/1/2006 @ 5:21 am PT…

What if Cindy Sheehan were a well-known pro-war activist?

What if this was 2002, and she was wearing a shirt with the number killed on 9/11?

Why are they trying to keep the number of dead and wounded so far outside of the public consciousness?

It’s very telling that the admin is afraid of the 2,243 brave US soldiers. That’s a lot of skeletons in their closet.

COMMENT #95 [Permalink]… Robert Lockwood Mills said on 2/1/2006 @ 5:26 am PT…

For Vicky Perry and everyone: If just once, the mainstream media would focus on the core issue of free speech and not on the political ramifications, these arbitrary arrests wil stop once and for all. But it isn’t happening, because the Bush administration spinmeisters can produce more bullshit in five minutes than a farmer can produce in a year.
