Chicken Happiness Is And Old Man With A Beer And A Chicken Sitting Near Shirt, hoodie, tank top
Brian drove her home and gave her a goodbye kiss before heading back to the house, where his mom was waiting by the door, arms crossed. He sighed, not ready for her to get “real” with him just yet.
“So, whether you two are…dating, or whatever you want to call it, I hope you’re being a gentleman,” Brian’s mom said in a serious tone. “You work late hours at that comic book store, so the two of you together…you aren’t taking advantage of that, are you?”
“N-no, Mom, I’m very respectful with her. All we’ve done is…” Brian paused, unable to stop himself from giving a little smile. “…is kiss.”
His mom sighed and smiled back. “Well, good. Because I like her and I want the best for her.” She gave him a tight hug, pulling him in close. “For both of you.”
Brian hugged his mom back, feeling blissful. His first meeting between his mom and his girlfriend may not have gone how he expected, but he couldn’t imagine it going any better. And maybe next time, he could go and visit Ashley and see this family she was keeping so secretive.
Back in her house, Ashley curled up in her bed immediately, giggling and shaking with excitement to herself. She took a sigh and pulled out her phone, sending a text off to Jessie.
“You know how I said I thought the costume’s belly was too big?” Ashley texted with a big smile on her face. “Well…I think I made the right decision.”
